Türkiye holds a special place in our hearts—not only because it’s just reached 12 GWp of installed solar capacity, but also because it's home to our new production site in Istanbul.  

It’s geography makes it ideal for solar PV, with most Turkish regions receiving over 2,000 hours of sunshine each year (averaging 5.5 per day). It’s also known for its traditional, flat roofs—particularly in more rural areas—which is why our versatile, quick- and easy-to-install systems are so effective there.  

But it’s also a region prone to earthquakes, as it sits at the intersection of three tectonic plates. As such, after the major one in 2023, we donated many of the first mounting systems we made at our new production site to local reconstruction projects, as well as donating aid packages and money for immediate disaster relief.

For a long time, we’ve felt that companies should be doing more than just selling products. They should be held accountable for their decisions and actions, and take seriously their responsibilities regarding the environment, their employees, and their impact on wider society.
